There is now an enhanced SVA, its stricter than the previous one and you need to have a model report for the car if its under 10years old, if you dont have a model report your pretty screwed, but you may well find that if the car isnt standard then it wont pass the ESVA.

EVERYTHING as standard.

Dump valve, exhaust, inlet, interior, gauges etc etc.

You DON'T need a model report until you get post '97 cars.

But it will need to be absolutely bog standard, so beg borrow or steal what you can to make it that way. I would reschedule your SVA till it's all sorted.

Wink

Entre the car as a disabled car ...all u need to do is put 1 of those spinney things on stearing wheel that 1 handed drivers use that way u dont have to have the advanced sva test thats what i did. Also u will need 4 new tyres as japanes dont have the right EU code on em and arnt rated for high speed only 112mph.Also convert speedo 2 mph ..and a fuel filler restrictor.Ohh and remove the flair from under the glovebox they dont like that

the flair should be mounted just under the glovebox on a clip on the pillar...if u cant see it it isnt there...although u should see the bracket.

shame about the disabled loophole ending.

In addition to all that, if you have a radio in, the frequency is incorrect for UK use, so get the chip to convert the radio frequency, or swap it for another stereo.

If you have key fob alarm from Japan, you must disable it, or just handover to them a spare key with no key fob.

Also, rear fog light will be needed

Jeez, all very hardcore from when I imported a GTIR back in 98!

All I had to do was get the speedo sorted, put a foglight in the rear cluster and tweak a loose strut for MOT. Had to take a nice trip over to France for some wine and lots of receipts and pictures to satisfy the then issue of having to have driven the car in another country.

Took a few weeks and bob is most certainly your uncles aunties tennis partner. Had a gauge, valve, zorst and filter too.
