Sva imports Kent

Mine was origionaly imported by SVA but i didn't buy it from there. Other than the engine having worn out its a pretty straight car, even after 4 years and 100k miles no rust underneath, no crash damage etc etc

I done some research on them previously, they had a integra there which caught my eye but I started to read some quite bad reviews about them so I stayed away. Do some google searches and you should find some information.

The negative reviews were from 4-5 years ago.
Since then they have turned it around and get great feedback on other forums (especially the MLR where quite a few guys have bought cars from them)

I've been there on a couple of occasions and most of the cars I saw either had poor paintwork repairs or needed paint. Now I realise they are mostly old cars that may well have had paint, but the fact is they sell them at big prices. I looked at an Sti wagon and it was a lot of money. Supposedly low mileage and the price hinted it should be something special. It wasn't! Horrible paint job down one side and looked tired. Same went for most of the imprezas I looked round. In fact there was only one Impreza there that was decent enough that I'd consider buying, regardless of the price!
I guess if they are decent enough with their customer service and after sales that may be something. I just find their prices have always been very high and the reality in what I've seen is they are often poor examples for big money.
You'll always get differing opinions though. I went down there with a guy who was waxing lyrical about their stuff, he just didn't see the cars the same way. But then some people seem blind to dodgy paint jobs and the like.
They do seem to operate in a way of waiting for a buyer to hook into a car, then it'll be made ready. Their stock look reflects that IMO but I dont understand why they don't have the car's bodywork sorted and cleaned up and all ready to go. So to go there and walk round may be a bit off putting, well it was to me.

Been there a few times this year for a nozey round. Found that unless you waving a wad of cash under their noses, they're not really keen on trying to sell a car to you. However, they do get a lot of young lads spouting ****e to them about 'I'll have the money next month mate', so it can get a bit tiresome I suppose.
About the general state of the cars, they have a red Skyline GTT down there, has been for about 6 months. Missing a sideskirt on one side and very dirty. Also had a S202 in white for a while, went and looked at it, seemed like it had been dragged through a field before put onto the forecourt. Not great when your asking for a lot of money.

I was in the area this week and made a visit there to look at the S202's and the R32/R33 GTR's. I asked how flexible they were on price and I was told in no uncertain terms that they're not!
Some of the cars I looked around had new budget tyres fitted (WTF!) and I just got a bad vibe about the place. Their prices are expensive, the cars are not particularly well presented and their customer facing skills were seriously lacking.
With no flexibility on price it's not a surprising that some of their stock has been there for months and I suspect will still be there for many more months to come.

The negative feedback was from several years ago.
They acknowledged they could have improved and they have.
I did a lot of research before buying from them, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Well them being a 'front' for something has an element of truth about it. There was a pretty strong rumour going around a few years ago that one of the guys there was a big-time cocaine dealer and would hide his stock in some of the cars.
Again, it was just a rumour but I was told this same story many, many times by different people...
Went down there again last sunday, they have a handful of S202's in stock at the moment, a WRX wagon in white, a red NSX(!!) and a Toyota AE86, to name a few.

Lol at the rumours. I've heard similar stories about other importers. Must be a common old wives tale. "Oh they import things, but be drugs"
FWIW this is what I bought from them..... https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...er-a-year.html

I bought my evo 7rs from them.
When I viewed it, it had a paint scrape on the front bumper, but was told it would be sorted, and it was to a good standard (I can't tell that it's had a respray).
The cars are sitting outside, and there's loads of trees around, so yes they will look dirty after a while, but they clean up very nicely.
The cars are mostly 10+ years old, so of course they will not look new, but at least my evo was in fantastic condition, considering its 13 years old now.
I would happily go back myself, but at least for the moment I don't see myself swapping any time soon.
