I'm looking for a Scooby model car. There was a company that makes the really realistic ones (not Burago)
Can anybody shed any light on it?

AutoArt IMO are the best. The level of detail is amazing. All the 22Bs are sold out and no longer produced. New they were £39.95, now fetch £100+ on ebay. It is still possible to get a new AutoArt 1/18 replica of the STI 5 but only in yellow and you will have to do some looking. The new age cars are available but will never fetch the same price as the limited editions such as the 22B and the STI 5.

...and I thought it was Mitsubishi... oh wait, no, they just make mistakes and cover it up until they are found out then make a big show of apology to try and limit the lawsuits.

the car model maker you are looking for is trofeu. They do plenty of models most of them being rally replicas. They only do classics though.
I have 3 22b's making up my collection and they are stunningly detailed.
Search for their website on google or search ebay as i got two of mine second hand on there and there seem to be loads sold there.

looking at the trofeu models they arte 1:43 scale the Auto art are 1:18 with highly detailed interiors, engine, running gear and even boot. I will take some pics of my 22b and post em up later. I have seen the Autoart WRX and the Skyline up close and they are an execptionally high quality too.

Like this one 1/8 Scale Rally of monti carlo Burns and Reid 22B Rally car
Exceptionally Detailed Model, I got it from a Toy Fair in Buxton at Christmas Last year.
I looked round the fair and they had a few available all about £55 the one I bought was up at £40 with a damaged box, I waited until the end of the day and was looking at it, the guy on the stall was packing up and said to me if I want it now he will do it for £25, needles to say I snapped his hand off. I will get some piccies of the actual model and post them up.
PS I fixed the box as well LOL

I know of someone who makes hand made model cars. He was supplying cars to the Aston Martin owners club.
His cars were fairly dear but very good. If anyone would like his number PM me and i'll try to find it, it's been a while since i've spoken to him and i'll have to dig out his number.

Depends what size you are after. I have a number in the 1/43rd scale. Some are the Trofeu and some the Prodrive/Subaru 'official' rally team items, no doubt made under licence by one of the mainstream manufacturers. IXO also make some good models - I picked one up at Goodwood last weekend. A good site to check s Autosportmodels which seems to have a comprehensive range on their website.
As for the TVRs I think there are a couple of crappy ones of the Speed Twelve, but as far as I know the only properly factory endorsed items are by SMTS Models in 1/43rd. Don't know if they sell direct or via the TVR Club - got mine from a shop in London - St Martin's Lane Accessories.
Hope this helps.
