I recon the disclock is a good investment - high visibility and very resistant to attack- i seem to remember a test conducted by that car program on C4 which gave it the thumbs up, i do not remember the 'thieves' being able to remove it at all.

Get a bag for it as it will 'eat' your cars interior, better still leave it in the bag/plastic tub in the boot, You really would not want it flying around the car if you have an accident.

Spot on in my opinion.

However, there is a stop srewed on the end of the plunger which you push against to drive the plunger home to lock it. This screw has come off on mine and sent the stop across the car like a ******* bullet. Found both bits but put some Superplue on the threads first before reassembly. This happened to my girlfriends aswell and the bits dissappeared down an airvent so be warned!!!!

Some quick questions guys,

Are diskloks all they're cracked up to be?
Do you fit scooby steering wheel OK? What size is needed, (SMALL 35-39 cms)?

Thanks

Well worth the money, buy a Disklock which is the heavy duty one and it should fit the Scooby wheel easy in small size!

Question

Having read all the threads on this, I'm getting one - small.

£80 from Halfords, or £60 from the web - at least that's what I think I read on this bb a while ago.

Does anyone know of a web site selling these for less than £80 inc delivery? I tried bigsave, but they didn't seem to have them.

Mojo ...

Great bit of kit worth every penny ... however ....

1, watch your legs when fitting, can give you a nasty pinch on the fleshy bit of ya thigh even worse if you have ya shorts on

2, Boy do they get HOT when on all day in the sun , last week I had to take it off with an old rag from the boot as I could'nt touch the metal at all ...

I'm sure other folks have had the same problems ...... have'nt they ....... ????

letsbuyit.com had an autolook 2000 for £48 in March believe, perhaps you could ask them to start another deal off, if it's not there currently.

could be wrong but isn't the Autolok 2000 different from the Disklok (which completely covers the steering wheel)

I have the Disklok, every copper I've ever talked to rates them very highly (including one who drives an STi3)

FWIW

This is spooky, I posted a similar question at almost the exact same time. Blame my typing for the delay. How much for an autolok anyone?
