No WR1 in Fast Club 2004
Thats because Evo have already group tested the WR1 against a load of other Imps and found it to be very lacking compared to the Type 25, Spec C and even P1.
Its in issue 67, page 110.

Isn't the point of the Fast Club 2004 ,meant to be the Fast cars of 2004?
Surly a WR1 has to be one of the Fast cars of 2004

How the **** is the WR1 not better than the P1 Its got a better spec in every way.
Jesus, this really is the most boring fecking thing about at the minute.
The sooner everyone gets a WR1 the better, then another limited edition will be on the cards AND then all the moaners can just **** right aff and winge about it instead.

Nah.... Came 11th out of 13. Or 12, if you don't count the Focus Zetec 1.6 that they took along as a control. Only the Clio was 'poorer'...
Even the Cayenne Turbo (my personal favourite!! ) beat the Evo 260.
Now if it had been a 320 or a 340.....

One of the best and most well respected car journos on the planet - Mr John Barker of Evo mag. I would put a long list of his driving acheivements up - but better just to say that the man knows what he is talking about.

My opinion is the WR1 is better than the P1.... and yes had the P1 for 2 and a half years... Granted only had the WR1 for 2 weeks but for several reasons I think it's better... Feels like a huge difference in torque and no need to change down for overtaking, build quality, feels more responsive although the P1 felt a bit more planted on the road... due to less body roll but wouldn't say there's much in it... plus to top it all off... 3 years warranty worry free driving... with a smile i can't remove.... Oh and of all the people who've seen it, they've all liked the colour..!!

I was looking at one - but only if they are as fast as the one previously tested!!!

Granted, there are going to be the die harders who will never let go of the old shape, and the P1 being the cult type car of some sort?
Each to their own and all that.
