PPP upgrade vs FQ insurance terms

PPP upgrade vs FQ insurance terms
Just provoking discussion.
One of the benefits I have found from moving to the dark side is that when I renew my insurance, the database lists an EVO FQ and that's it. So my premium is the same for an FQ330 as it is for a FQ300 or 280.
This seems consistent across all of the companies that will entertain a group 20 car, although my schedule shows a 330.
The PPP on the other hand is a pita to insure as most insurance companies either don't know what it is or get scared when you talk increased power.
Glancing through the insurance section, people are stumping up £300 p.a. in some cases for a PPP upgrade.
Question is, could Subaru do more to promote the PPP upgrade to insurance companies.

i think they could, depends on which isurance company you go with I just changed to Liverpool Victoria and SAVED £469 per year insuring the same MY02sti dammmmm
The Fq scenario is interesting tho. At the moment it seems a lot of people are insuring WR1's for less than ppp'd sti's

Good point about the WR1, that is a listed model so the argument about not able to list PPP models due to type approval is a bit redundant.

yep its been fun especially trying to list the modifications to the car when i didnt know all of them, I bought the car from a UK garage with @300-320bhp BEFORE the PPP pack was even released hence my fun. L&V have been gr8 tho just said take pictures to prove the mods and everything that was factory/dealer installed is covered like for like. so the leather sat/nav & dvd are insured in full.
Insurance like getting a loan seems incredibly fickle these days, it looks like companies have targets and when they get near them they tighten up the decisions.
I went for a loan at Black Horse once got turned down on the phone letter came in the post the next day (from black horse) asking me to apply so i did and got accepted???
its a wierd world
