Default change in import laws

spoke to the importer i got my car off the other day and he was telling me that the import laws have changed and that my car would no longer be able to b brought into the country(sti 5 type r v-lim) as there is not an english car the same this also goes for alot of other cars R34 GTR being one of them wouldnt this mean the value of these cars would stop depreacting and maybe even go up as the nicer examples become harder to find because when i bought my car about 9 months ago around half the type r's that i looked at on the auto trader website were beind sold by importers and alot of them wernt even in the country yet witch means if someone wants one of these cars there aint going to be as many on the market

Sound like the government helping to create competition and drive down prices.

This will be no doubt give the manufacturers (who don't like imports) lots of reasons to say that no car can be imported, as every car must have differences even if they are very, very minor (body trim work differences, power mirrors only available in JDM) etc.

I guess you could still SVA it though?

You'll need a "Model report".
