When I first bought my Impreza , just over a year ago, I was amazed at the speed, acceleration and handling, and I couldnt stop smiling everytime I took it out But as always, after a while it wears off, you get board and you yearn for more.

Today I had to go work in Northumberland (7 hour return trip + 8 hours work up there), but leave my car at work and drive a 7.5 T truck (with a lot of weight in it)

I arrived to return the truck tonight , after driving 300+ miles & 8 hours grafting ,then jumped in my car for the drive home.

WOW, It feels like the first time I ever drove one ,fast, responsive and the all important grin factor returned

so.. for everyone who moans (most of us) about how expensive they are to run, mod , insure ,etc, just have a day or two without it and drive something else, it made me smile again

When my car goes in for it's service they give me a Justy (hmmm nice) as a loan car.... I only have to travel 4 miles to my office from the garage, but that's enough to get used to the handling/performance..

But when my car's ready and I drive away from the garage, the initial feeling of the tight gearbox, heavy clutch and precise steering makes me realise just how much I love my STI..

Worth having a second car to do all the comuting miles in the week, then playing with the scoob at the weekend (or late at night )

That makes the car feel fast afterwards...

I had a similar experaince after a short ban, kinda scared me again especially after been driven round in normal boring cars

im always in rental cars (1300 hyundai accents) throughout the year as well as 1000/1300 cc non fuel injected suzuki jeeps when i go into the bush in kenya. so its safe to say that the scooby is always fresh for me!

i feel like this every day . its brilliant . havent driven mine for 2 days and jumped in it today and went for a burn. its like the first time i drove it. thats what i love about it
