WRX spoiler
I have just been surfing NeVeTaS-(DoT)-CoM and had a look in the gallery and saw this pic of a 03 WRX with a WRC spec rear spoiler, u know the one with the verticle 'fences'.
I did not know that u could get those spoilers for road cars, i thought that they were only for the WRC cars not personal cars like u and me would have.

You can get the WRC spoilers from SGM Racepaints ,who just so happen to do the paintwork for Prodrive.
I enquired about getting a spoiler like that but was informed that its £400 for the vertical 'fences' then there's the spoiler on top of that.
That one looks like an STi spoiler with the vertical 'fences' fitted, the WRC ones are quite a bit different.
D R Motorsport are going to be doing the Latest WRC Rear Spoiler with carbon dividers shortly.

Jasoon, that was quick I only put the info about the WRC rear spoilers up yesterday.
Steve at SGM takes the original STi rear spoiler on an exchange basis and fits the uprights into them.
The spoilers we have are the WRC rear spoilers from the 2001 and 2002 cars. These have to match the homologation rules for rallying, and Kenny McInstry used one for his win on last weeks Manx Rally.
These spoilers are also available with the 4 carbon uprights in place. Same as the 2003 and 2004 WRC Rally Cars
Pictures will be up on the site very soon.

The reason i was quick about the WRC rear spoilers was that you e-mailed me to tell me
Is your car the one with the think its DCA plate on it?
You realy need to get to NBO2 so i can have a look at that spoiler.....

Jasoon,
I really need to get to grips with e-mail names and scoobynet names, and link them together.
Have a look at some of the Knockhill pictures in the Scottish section from Saturday.
Sorry no prizes for spotting my car.

Got the brake light fitted into the Rallytech spoiler ,very pleased with it when it was all finished.....
Still paranoid that the spoiler will fall of coz I fitted it myself.....
Realy suprised how much the car is transformed by fitting the Rallytech spoiler...
The first words out of my mates mouth when we got it fitted was "That look's Fu****g awesome"

Incidentally, the fences do do something for the handling of the car. They increase the efficiency (and hence downforce level) of the rear aerofoil when the car is sliding. Thus, unless you actually manage to break traction at speed, the fences won't, as you say, make the slightest bit of difference. In any case, if Joe Average Driver does get it sliding at 70+ miles per hour, chances are he's going to have an accident anyway, extra aero bits or not.
Still, on the plus side, if these things are fitted properly, they might do something for the upper foil's tendency to vibrate at speed, which will take some of the annoyance out of looking in the mirror, if nothing else.

Mainly because I don't trust myself. Easy enough job, and it is just bolting things on, but I'm constantly expecting my shelves to fall down any minute, so I'm not risking a spoiler going at 70mph!
