Service due, aftermarket tuners??
Howdy
Its been awhile since I've posted a thread on here but my first track day on saturday has renewed my Scoobability and my mojo's on overdrive
So my question:
I have my car booked into Heritage, Leicester for a 10,000 mile service on Friday. However I have now taken the decision that I'm not truelly enjoying the ownership of my scoob because I'm not modding the damn thing!
So basically bu66er the warranty I want to enjoy the car!
So my planned mods are sort the crappy suspension, get the damn car sounding like a Scoob with a new zaust and then a re-map. So is it worth me having the car serviced at the dealer or should I go straight to a tuner?
My cars an 03 STi PPP what exhaust would you peeps recommend I want noise and good flow obviously. Would I be better off buying the zaust mailorder and fitting it myself or will the car need mapping anyway?
Thanks in advance
Andy

I wouldn't say I'm not bothered, but part of the enjoyment for me is buying the aftermarket goodies as I did with my escort cossie, great fun
What's the point in buying the car and then not enjoying it, it cost me just shy of 30,000 under 12 months ago, what would I get if I tied to sell it??? So I have decided to keep the old girl and enjoy it as they should be
a bit more noise, a few track days, simple!
so what about my questions?

You want to get yourself down to Roger Clark Motorsport in Peckleton, near Desford, they will cover the service and any tuning requirements, have used them myself and would have no hesitation in recommending them to others

depends where you are based.
get the car decatted by replacing the downpipe (Think that is your only CAT left), if your car has had PPP your fuel pump should be OK but ask the tuner. go for Bob Rawle, he is doing my car next month. Does the PPP include a hi-flo cat as you may be ok keeping it on.
you can buy a openneck downpipe and the Afterburner vortex (YUM) from scoobyworld. replace the panel filter with either a JR or STi group N.
These parts you can replace yourself easy enough I did mine yesterday .
havent looked at any suspension parts so cant heap you there.
p.s there are sound files on the www.scoobyworld.co.uk site .
Bob rawle has a thread in projects where he is modding is JDM STi9 in stages. this will show you what is achievable.
