Got hit by a lorry on Friday 7th May.
Story goes like this, Was in Worcester on friday lunchtime, not sure the exact location as I do not live there.
But it was at a two lane roundabout, a lorry was in the left, I was in the right and on the left hand side of the lorry, was one of those dividing slip road kerbs (I hope people know what I mean).
The lorry pulls away, I am still not moving, its back wheel mounts the kerb, causing the lorries tail end to flip out and smash into my front passenger door, smashing the glass, ripping the wing mirror off and leaving a dirty great ripping crease in the door. My passenger was sprayed with glass, but luckily she was not cut or injured.
The lorry driver did not even realise he had hit us, so I had to follow him down the road flashing my lights getting him to pull over, we all get out of our vehicles, all a little shaken and shocked (the driver was a really nice guy) exchanged details etc. The only damage to the lorry was one bent rim (about a 15cm fold in the rim, where he had hit the kerb, so it was a hard hit). NOw have my car off the road until the repairs are done, and I was looking forward to putting my new brakes on.
Also have just driven home to Cambrige from Worcester with plastic sheeting on my window, in the rain. Glad to be home, thats all I can say.
Oh well, its only a car after all.
Sorry for the rambling.
Cheers

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
Its just so annoying having to sort the problem out. I think it was a bad omen that day, as I saw four ambulances on my way there!!

Thanks again for the support guys.
I think for the 1st time in my life, I have actually realised as much as I love my car, its only a car! I feel a lot better seeing my door wrecked and not my passenger or myself.
Doors can be fixed, scars are for life.
Cheers
