Impreza WRX STI SPEC F*** (me)
When will Subaru answer the need for speed we all have and produce an absolute monster of an Impreza..
Im sure 400 hp is attainable especially with its 2.5 lump, and twin scrole turbo,
it would sit the Impreza back in its rightful place at the top!!!

Correct me if im wrong but i thought that the WRC cars had around 500/600lb of torque.
And all this from a 2.0L lump!
So my point is that if they can get that sorta speed out of 2.0L then why bother with a 2.5L varient.
And yes i know they are ligtened and stuff etc but then getting back to your original question even 400BHP is easy attainable with the right ammount of money.

The downside is that bigger bore and stroke leads to heavier reciprocating parts, which means the engine won't rev quite as freely, but then if it's generating more lower down, you don't necessarily need to rag the **** off it.

Me finks if Subaru are gonna do a car to rival the MR 450ish (and they will!) I think they will opt for a 2.5 or this 3.0 they were talkin about last year... although I can see a full forged internal pack being put into place for that power in the 2.5!
