First off always adjust the settings when your moving!!
When the wheel is wound all the way back, this is called 'open' mode, this sends 80% of the power to the rear wheels and 20% to the front. This should be used for everyday driving.
Next setting up is 63% rear 37% front and should be used when the roads get very wet or greasy
Next setting is when the light turns orange, this setting is for mud/gravel.
Next setting (2nd orange) is for very muddy/ gravel and snow.
Next setting (3rd orange) is for severe driving conditions e.g heavy snow!
Last setting is the DIFF LOCK, this is for when/ if you get stuck. Apparently it is also useful for a good launch for a qtr mile, but once you get moving switch the diff to open mode again.
If when you adjust the diff and it starts to 'clunk/bang' this is normal, its just the diff getting wound up. To unwind it just put the diff in open mode and pull on the hand brake.
Hope this helps, Marx
