My friend has been looking for an Sti Wagon (JDM) for some time now (he wants to outdo my WRX Wagon!!), but he has only managed to find one in that time - are they especially rare??

fairly rare as like you say they are JDM only and many people import the saloons.

They are beautiful things though!

Very nice indeed Blue Streak.
Don't like those silly big tailgate spoilers though, you need something more discreet ie smaller. I have some small ones and will gladly p/x them for those silly big ones. Let me know if your interested

Had a STI3 Wagon & loved the looks over the Saloon although not the most reliable car in the world.

Before moving away from Scoobs I test drove a STI7 wagon but at 18000 I thought it was a bit steep. I thought the looks of that were stunning but havent seen one since anywhere & havent got any pics to post. The spec wasnt quite as good as the saloon, the brakes & steering rack are different & a few other things which I cant recall off hand but I prefered the looks. If anyone really wants one e-mail me & I will try & find details of the Guy in Japan who was going to source a car for me, this would have worked out less than the 18000 & for a newer car.
