Default ecu reset and fault code 44

my wrx wagon import 96 is showing fault code 44 which is the wastegate solenoid valve. Have cleaned out the pipes and unit with wd40 but to no avail. Want to reset the ecu but can only find the black read memory conectors and not the green test mode connectors. Where are the green test mode connectors?
Has anyone had this fault before? How much would a replacemt unit cost?

I couldn't find the green connectors on my MY95 either. Disconnecting the battery for half an hour did the reset for me. Hope you sort your prob.
