WR1 Delivery times
Just taken the plunge after months of indecision on my next car and decided on a WR1, Can any new WR1 owners out there advise how long it takes from the time the dealer registers the car till delivery.
My dealer has not yet deliverd any,and says he thinks it will be two weeks, is there a number i can ring at IM to varifiy things for peace of mind.

There are people on here who ordered and took delivery within the space of a few weeks but most have been waiting for much longer and are still waiting. I ordered 15th Jan and have no delivery date as yet. There are others who ordered before Christmas and also have no delivery date...

Perhaps if I still had my Carlton 3000Gsi that would cut out on me for no obvious reason I wouldn't feel the same way. Not good on motorways etc. The Carlton was a great car, when it worked. Never did find out what was wrong with it, ended up trading it against my Classic and never looked back

I wouldn't let them near a trabant, let alone a Scoob. Or, to quote from Red Dwarf - "I wouldn't trust them to open a can of beans that was already open."
IMO of course.
Ordered my WR1 from my native Yorkshire even though Chelmsford is my closest dealer.

....still waiting.

Ian, I ordered late Feb and was told I was no3 on dealer's list.
Spoke to dealer last week. No1 car had been delivered and I am now no2 so my car expected next.
Not holding my breath though.

Not personality clash - as I don't have one to clash with.
Lets just say multiple bad experiences of the 'we really can't be bothered to do our job kind' and having to then take the car elsewhere to be fixed.
I will NEVER take any of my cars there again.

Back to the WR1 delivery, sort of
My clio 172 took 5 Months to arrive after the order, cos some dealers where making up orders!
So my small honest dealer X puts in my single order
While dealer Y put in 6 orders when the car became available without any customers!
Dealer Y gets all his cars and parks them in his pound, waiting for customers to come in saying 'I want a 172' the answer is...'Friday OK sir' SOLD
Most annoying.
Is this happening with the WR1?

Supposedly not as the dealers had to send a photocopy of the customers driving licence with each order.
But I guess as no-one would make a formally binding order before the spec of the car and performance etc being available there's nothing to stop dealers getting 6 driving licences off their mates and sticking them in then claiming they had pulled out at the last minute.
