Anyone cancelling their WR1 Order?

Anyone cancelling their WR1 Order?
I was just wondering whether anyone had been put off the WR1 based on the EVO report or the threads posted on SN recently.
To clarify, I am NOT cancelling my order, I cannot wait for the WR1 to arrive
I just wondered if others with an order in place felt the same as me or am I a minority now?

I to checked out the Evo mag as well.
Intresting read and keeping in mind that it was damp when they tested the WR1 the figures could be better in the heat of the summer sun.
I'm in the same boat, waiting, keen for the phone to ring and tell me the delivery date.
still waiting

I wouldn't even consider cancelling my order on the basis of an Evo report. The cars it was compared against are not in competition with it. Why not compare it against an STi with PPP?

Seriously, I believe the WR1 was tested the following day for the performance runs though I've been wrong before and no doubt will be again...

Chuck makes a very good point - any car you are considering must be driven. If it's right for you buy it - don't worry about what the magazines say! Prodrive have said that the WR-1 was setup with UK roads in mind - not track. Personally, I'm not convinced that the Scoob is that suited to tracks anyway. I'd be much more interested in how it felt and performed on typical UK roads rather than track times. The same goes for any of the models tested.

I firmly believe that EVO reviews are written by pompous, elitist ***** who like to use motoring journalist cliches and buzzwords to make themselves sound important and literary.
While it's nice to look at the pictures and stats of the supercars, I wouldn't base a car purchase on their pictures, never mind their reviews, which are after all, only the opinions of whatever mouthpiece was handed the keys.
Why I buy it every month, I have no freakin' idea

I ordered one because of a test drive in a PPP Sti8
After a Type R version 5, it was ... OK
so if the WR-1 is a bit better than a PPP sti8 ill be pleased.
Its got 4 doors i know but what else can i get with a 3 year warranty ???? and be a UK model to Part Exchange when the 2.5 2 doors get realeased in 2006 ???

been to the dump a few times this month, car packed with stuff. And been to loads of DIY places sorting out 2 houses. No problem having 2 doors at all.

was it just me, when looking at the track statistics in the evo article, it looked like the type25 had a grip problem. It had high entry speeds into corners but much lower exits speeds out of the corners compared to the spec-c. I thought the spec-c looked better on the corner by corner lap graph - but the text didn't agree.
either that, or the driver was wellying it sideways round the corners - hardly scientific!
