I found the perfect cure.... get a new one!
I had an intermittently faulty fuel pump. The symptoms were a misfire when cold, then after about 4 or 5 miles it would clear up and run ok. This went on for a couple of months. Then one day back in January it ceased to function, right out out in the middle of nowhere. It took 5 hours for the RAC to pick up the car.

Is your motor running bigger power than standard? Maybe your pump is working ok but doesn't keep up with the fuel demand. Solution, get an uprated pump.
Or;
Are you absolutely sure it's your pump that's at fault? What exactly are the symptoms? Have you tried cleaning/replacing your fuel filter, there might be deposits causing a restriction in the fuel flow.

How much is an upgrade fuel pump and where's best to get one?
Also, how hard is it to fit? Is it in the tank and if so, whats the best way of getting to it?
Thanks
Johnny
