Post CD2 Engine Cleaner - Don't Use On Asphalt Surfaces?

Halfords have a bye one get one free deal on Turtle Wax products this weekend so just got myself some CD2 and some wax for £8

However, the instructions say it shouldn't be used on an asphalt surface and I don't really have a choice. What will it do to my drive if I ignore the instructions? Would covering the drive with plenty of newspaper help? Presumably it would be better to collect the muck and grease onto the paper rather than have it find its way to the drain too.

Will do some before and after pics!

Cheers,

Ben

A petroleum based cleaner will disolve the bitumen in the asphalt. Paper wont make any difference.

Wait until your neighbour goes out and do it on their drive
