Arrow E30 or Scoob

What would you rather have?

A BMW E30 M3 or Impreza (ANY TYPE) ?

bearing in mind the E30 is left hand drive and has a 2.3 litre engine with throttle bodies.

Just wondering as my mate has an E30 but think he is wantin to sell it!!!

I've got both (E30 Cecotto and Impreza Turbo Wagon) and there is no comparison. The Impreza is faster in a straight line and better as a practical everyday car. The M3 is a throroughbred with sublime handling and a charisma that few cars have.

In short the M3 is a classic with unmatched steering feel the other a fairly nippy turbo'd japanese family car, which would you choose?

Two different kettles of fish.

im not sure. wouldnt mind both aswell. Been in an M reg Impreza Turbo, Impreza type R and the E30 M3 and they all forced me back into the seat through every gear but the M3 is a real head turner and also quite rare so if i had a choice i would probably buy the E30 first............................................. .................................................. .............then save some money and buy the scoob aswell.

Whats more gutting though is my mate is only 21 and he is in the middle of rebuilding his other car which will be even faster than the M3. ****!!!!!!!!!!

If i had a choice again i'd buy an E30 M3.
I looked at a Cecotto (lovely Macau Blue) and also a Ravaglia (sp).
They're cracking cars, and provided they're looked after and maintained, they'll run and run.
Company called Munich Legends are a safe bet for any advice.

If it wasn't a left hooker m8, I might be tempted.
Overtaking must be a nightmare, I would have thought, even with all that power.

It's not just the overtaking...

Imagine having to get out the car at the Forth Bridge, just to go pay your toll !! lol

I live in France and have an E30 (LHD of course) and an Impreza (RHD) it doesn't cause me much hassle at all when I swap between them. You just need to drive properly. It's dead easy to reach over at the peage or Hamburger Quick. Overtaking is easy too.

Just get a trustworthy passenger to shout go go go when they see a gap.
