AFR Meter - Any point in fitting or will knocklink alone do?...
Guys,
I've got a home made AFR meter I got of a friend to fit to the car (it's the one you tune up with a 9v battery or something, then I think you wire it in to the ECU) Anyway, I know this will tell me how my fuel mixture is doing...
Is there much point to the hassle of fitting it? I was thinking of just installing a Knocklink on it's own as surely that will tell me if I'm getting detonation, isn't that enough to tell me if I'm damaging my engine?
My current car is a UK Turbo with Green Filter and a Full Decat (picking it up this lunchtime) - I guess I should really fit a knocklink for safety reasons.
Any comments on this appreciated,
Matt.
