Hey, lets get a new BBS started for all the bikers here, where we can leave all the backstabbing and bitching behind. All bikers welcome, unless you ride a cruiser, or a 125.
Damn it's getting ugly - P1vsSTI, WaxWizardVSAll, Northern Meet 2vs3.
Think I'll sell the scoob and buy a Mondeo and a Jetski, hope I choose the right make though.

Ok I will get this rolling.
Suzuki tl1000s lots of trick bits.
It is not the evil handling beats people make out, its the best bike I have ever had.
This includes Fireblobs, CBR600's, GPz900, and GXR 750.
Go out most Sunday mornings in the essex area and do loads of tracks days.
Any one up for a track day in August.

Buell? Ain't that a cruiser (Harley) dressed in drag?
(Obligatory bitchy post out of the way now )
So are we all going to WSB at Brands at the begining of August?
I'm dead jealous of the big bikes, always thought 600's were quick/torquey enough, till I got the STI, now I'm gettin itchy for a bigger bike.
Bugger in a Rover knocked me off last year and I couldn't get better than a 50/50 settlement though, so insurance is astronomical, it'll be a few years before I can go bigger.
Andy D - thats a disgusting garage full you've got there, conspicuous consumption or what?

spence,
no I didn't know that, I'd be curious to know what Ray Stringer does to them. The only factory options for increasing power involve deafening exhausts - I ride every day and could not subject the neighbours to that!
I'm restricting myself to suspension work at Maxton - apparently the front mounting eye has been shearing from the shock body on the standard item! This is the subject of the latest recall. I initially approached my dealer (Harley of course) about suspension modifications; I think that he thought I wanted to chrome it or something!
chuckster,
you are not far from the truth in your description of the Buell. The engine feels very lazy after jumping off Japanese sports bikes. While not as quick as current sports bikes it is deceptively fast and more fun than you might think (Buell claim 101bhp - feels more like 80-90 at the wheels).
I wonder if Brands will be getting the usual crowds this year now that Foggy is out for the rest of the season - maybe longer. I'll be there anyway it's only fifteen minutes away from me.

Ok I'll take part.....
Bimota YB8e (blueprinted 183kg's 156bhp Maxton F&R)
Bimota YB4ei Maxton F&R
Honda Fireblade (commuter???? top box rather than back seat)(Termi pipe, rearsets Maxton F&R, brembo brakes)
Yamaha OW01 (Ex TT/BSB now my track bike Maxton F&R plus lots inc Brembo brakes)
Honda Africa Twin (2 up bike)
Yamaha SRX600 (wicked in the lanes)
Yamaha DT200WR (Green laning/Enduro's)
Used to run track days for 6 years for a club, now retired to enjoy them rather than running round like a headless chicken.
Oh the wife has a couple as well......
Oh nearly forgot MY97 5dr as well as the wife's 2 cars.
Nearly all in the garage bar 2 cars, guess what my priority was when we we were house hunting :-)

Simon,
Give Ray a ring on 01455 213455...
Speak to Anthony, Ray's ex race engineer... a fine chap. Don't worry about the standard of work, it's second to none. I had loads of stuff done to the engin internals a couple of years ago and have so far covered about 8k of hard riding and mostly thrashing, thing has not missed a beat...
Spence.

Drat, was reading a mag last night and getting more tired of my 'puny' 600.
A sports 600 will do 0-100 in 8.2 seconds - pretty adequate I thought. Then I saw that an R1 will do it in 5.3! Blimey, might even be able to give John in his westie a run for his money on a drag strip .

I've flogged all my bikes (was a condition of being allowed to have scooby) as last year was very bad for deaths and injuries in my area (sussex) One of our local bike shops lost 15 customers last year alone and it was getting to the stage a friend was falling off once a week. So i decided to keep my good looks (er) and get back in a car.
On the subject of brands i MAY have some tickets for a box for the sunday, evening cocktails at the hotel, then a dinner with the teams and riders (well those that aren't sulking anyway - needless to say foggy didnt attend last year) then a charity auction held by keith huewen.
Its a blinding evening, unfortunately the hotel is fully booked so you'll have to drive/ride.
I met most of the riders there last year and had a ball, slight and edwards being the most friendly chaps you could ever ask to meet. but i needed a car to take home all the stuff from the auction ! A young lady bagged edwards race winning leathers for £800 last year !
Seeing as im the size of about 8 riders i couldnt buy clothing, but there was plenty of other stuff.
