Done a deal on an WR blue 04MY STi last Friday, dealer said the car is being delivered today for PDI but can only assume they pre order them anyway and not for individual customers.

I ordered my WRX SL in WR Blue on 25th Feb. It has been at the dealers for the last week, and I pick it up next week
If I had wanted a WRX only in WR Blue, they had 2 sitting at the back of the forecourt(unregistered, pre-ordered) - this is Showells.
No idea why you have to wait so long, unless the last shipload has all been allocated, and they are waiting for the next ship to come in. Perhaps you could ask your dealer to see if any are unsold at another dealership - pre-ordering appears to be very common.

From what I have been told (by a dealer) and from what I can remember (my memory aint what it used to be ) they block order at the point of arrival in the UK. Its a national allocation and dealers put bids in for their share of the cars. For example, dealer "A" would reserve 2 WRX in WR Blue, 1 in Blue/black and one in silver. The bigger the dealer and the more cars they sell and they get a better "slice of the cake".

How Dose the price of the WR1 do for an excuse for not buying one... Clive
I know the dealer orders them using factiousness names and they have sold all of the ones they had ordered.
Aparently thats why its taking so long
