There's a good Forester specific forum at www.subaruforester.com The Euopean sub-forum is where you'll find most of the UK based owners.

My parents had never even heard of Subaru before I got my first Impreza Turbo. Now my mum drives a non Turbo Forrester and my dad is seriously considering the new Outback.
Forrester is a great car, my mum loves it, my dad drives it more than his Omega and I quite enjoy driving it too!

I bought a real beauty of a Black Forester Turbo for my wife from the import auction at Donington Park. 60K ish km's on the dial and a full stainless system throughout. It looks like it's been lowered too. Dark Privacy windows all around the back. Had some sort of weird Apexi controller on that wasn't working, so l binned it and had a Unichip fitted at Owen Devs, by Oxford.
Because it's my wifes car I had it remapped to run on 97 Octane, You know women, a petrol pump is a petrol pump...... even then we gained 10 hp and 30Ft Lbs of torque. Now it's safe on ANY fuel and will pull treestumps with that much torque.
Nice cars Foresters and SOOOOO underrated.

Me too
'97 s/tb. Got it for my daily driver. Bog standard, apart from having up rated the ARB's, which has transformed the handling.
However, I'm REALLY struggling every time I look at an STi 2.5 engine.......
Mark must be sensible, Mark must be sensible.....................

Hi,
I've got a Black T/tb which is a real joy to drive.
Found both scoobynet and the forums at subaruforester.com essential reading for all new owners, particularly of import models.
Cheers
Ian
