Question Advice as to the best in garage dust cover for my soon to have WR1

I am going to buy a cover for my new wr1 when I get it, but need advice as to what is the best, where to get one and what sort of cost they will be.It will only be used in the garage so will not need to be waterproof etc.
thanks in advance

I have gone down the route of painting the garage walls and floor to keep the dust down.

No,all I have been told is july but expect it sooner.
Thought I better get a cover so I can keep it in perfect order and also purchase it now before the real expense of everything to do with it starts

I hope you have a dry garage
TBH these are a bit of a waste of time, your car will be better off without one of these and a good polish instead (just think of all those nasty stones ready to chip your paint out there on the road )

Tony
trying not to think about stones
Do you really think the cover will do no good.
Maybe just have to wipe dust off everyday

Its an excuse to take your car out of the garage once per day and just let the dust fly off

Painting walls and floor really helps with dust, before painting every time I swept up I got a dustpan full of dust no matter how often I swept up, now no dust at all !!!!!!!!

If you really want a cover then get a large car cover from halfords for about £25 quid.

You'll soon get fed up keep covering it up every time you take the car in and out of the garage, like somone said ealier just polish it reguarly.

I used B&Q and got the following,

Sandtex 1 coat white masonary paint 5L £17.98 (needed 2 tins for mine as needed 2 coats on bare brick, used a roller)
international concrete floor sealer 2.5L £24.48 (needed 1 tin only 1 coat needed, used a roller)
international garage floor paint grey 2.5L £22.97 I think (needed 1 tin covered in one coat, used a roller)

Can't remember whether it's humidifiers or dehumidifiers, but one of them gets rid of dust big style. Dehumidifiers will also prevent rust. I seem to recall hearing that garaged cars often rust quicker due to condensation which isn't a problem when stored outside

Or am I talking b0110x ?

Easiest way to keep dust off it is to let a nice thick layer of mud build up on it. You could maybe give it a hose down now and again (more than once every six months is a bit excessive though). That's what I do. Except I tend to forget the hosing down bit.

Imagine you were the second owner of my car...would you like to think you were buying a car that had been treated like sh*t or would you like to know it had been well looked after??

question....buy a mint condition car or a car in a terrible state?

answer.... mint everytime.

sorry for caring and being someone who loves cars and tries to take care and keep them in good condition.

Definately true.

I have a dehumidifier in my garage (I am not to **** about my car) and it extracts often up to 4 litres of water a day even though it is well ventilated.

Well worth the £100 or so for the dehumidifier. It works.

Brian.

god you didnt even pick it up yet and ur already planning selling it?? lol

im with the guys, i love my car, but this sounds a bit to much, its a 30k car, not a 100k antique, its also a rally car, meant to be dirty and driven hard, what are you gonna do if someone spray u with **** on one of them summer evenings? have road rage each time?

sorry but 30k is a lot of money to me just to treat like crap.
It will get driven and get dirty but it will also get washed and looked after.

subaruwr1, don't rise to the bait and don't be put off.

Can't help you with your choice of cover, but good luck with your new car anyway
