Default what psi should it be running at

as above my98 turbo is running 15psi with straight through back box, induction kit and manual boost controler

does anyone know whether it will be safe to up the boost abit and if so what to safely
also i have got a decat down pipe
wondering whether to put that on and whether it would make any diference to bhp

any advise would be appreciated

From what I've read on here, you ought to leave the boost alone and get the decat down pipe on.
If you bump your boost up too much you'll suffer from detonation and melt your engine.
Decat down pipes are probably the cheapest (£'s per horses) mod you can do. People on here talk about 15 - 20 BHP increase.
... and finally, get yourself a knocklink to detect the previously mentioned detonation. It could save your engine mate.
I'm no pro on the subject, there'll be other more qualified Scoobynetters who can give you advice.
