Try Oakley garage out towards Bedford, I got my 10k service done by them in january. They used to be a dealer up until a few months ago when they chose not to renew their franchise. I live in newport pagnell so its fairly convenient for me, there was talk of one opening up again in MK though, not sure if thats still happening...

If it's one of the major services it's worth taking a spin up the M1 to scoobyclinic. Much cheaper and a nice part of the world to boot! Not as far as you'd think either.

Neilo, you may wish to know that Cotswold Subaru have opened up at Bletchley at the where Adams used to be.
Apparently planning to build additional service bays.
Me I am gonna keep my car for long time,so not to worried about stamped history,if I can get a good non-franchise garage to carry out work.Hence thread.

Also checking out Tek 2 mod, seems to be thing for my car.
Bit worried about air filters, seems MY2000 is a bit dodgy if you change them.

you might as well do a few more mods and get a tek3, a tek2 is a generic map as far as im aware, so any tek2 is the same....but a tek3 will be custom to you and get the best out of the car. Thats what i plan to do.
