18" group buy (northern)
After seeing the group buy arranged through an Essex dealer for 18" wheels, I have contacted a northern subaru dealer to see if the same can be done nearer to home.
I have been assured that we can secure the same deal, maybe even a bit better depending on numbers.
Please could any interested parties e-mail me or post on this thread to let me know the exact wheels, (colour, OZ 10 spokes or FF7's, offset, or whether you have Brembos and are they for WRX type or classic).
Also let me know whether tyres would be required, a deal can be done on these too.
If you don't know the exact type you are after then check out www.subaru.co.uk and click on merchandise and accessories. scroll down until you get to 17" and 18".
I will contact the dealer again on Thursday or Friday dependant on interest and let you know the best price we can come up with.
Again, so long as there are 5 people wanting a deal then the worst I can arrange is the same price as the other group buy.
I will push as hard as I can for the best price.

was lookin at 18" ozs in gold, I have brembos on sti 03 would be interested to see what price you could get on them, with f1 tyres, if not then what tyres at what price?

Right then.
Just had a word with the dealer and if anyone wants to call on 0151 4952091 and speak to Danny or Mark then the same price will apply so long as you mention the scoobynet group buy.
Not sure what the deal would be on alternatives to Pirelli tyres, probably best to give them a quick call to see if they will do something for goodyears etc.
If anyone can get a group of say 5 people to stick an order in at the same time then further discounts may be possible.
Seems like a pretty good deal at that price anyway.

Just to confirm.
18" wheels with Pirelli tyres = £1460
Wheels each = £220
tyres each = £145
wheel & tyre = £365
The standard price is £275 per wheel and £450 for the wheel & tyre combo.
A fair saving!

Yeah I know that, but my local dealer isn't interested in playing "group buy discount" and won't believe that any other dealer would discount the prices to that level

You have got a stubborn dealer on your hands there then. If they were prepared to call holdcroft Subaru in Cheshire they would realise you are not fibbing, I just doubt you could get them to do that.
I may have also found another cheaper source for the P1 style Prodrive 18" rims. Will be checking them out on friday this week.
Will keep you posted but I should be able to get a couple of sets for around the £700 mark (each set). Just the wheels, no VAT.
I am also finding out what tyre deals I can get and will hopefully post some prices next week.
