Hi All

For those of you who know what Live For Speed is, we have set up a server called "SCOOBYNET", password "scooby".

This is for initial testing, so if you have Live For Speed please join in for a bit of fun.

Once we have it up and running, we'll post a proper explanation and open it up for races and leagues, etc

If you have never raced online before, go to multiplayer, select "demo", show list of games. ScoobyNet appears to be the fastest, so should be at or near the top of the list once it's finished listing all servers.

Click the scoobynet server and enter the password above.

this game is a right laugh, not played it for a while - this might just tempt me out of retirement

handling is spot on, not graphically up there with Gran Turismo etc. but the gameplay makes up for it

i'll see if i've got time tomorrow night to have a blast

Hi All

I think we should change our display names to "SN - [Your Name]" eg "SN - SDB". That way we'll know who's from ScoobyNet when we meet up online.

The server seems very good indeed, and is in-fact the fastest server on there almost all the time.

Once we're happy that it works well, we'll password it again (or put up a public and private server) and make a proper announcement to the community about what live for speed is, etc.

For those who are interested now, Live For Speed is a driving simulator with incredible realism. The handling physics are about the best available and there is a selection of cars available with front, rear and AWD.

It is also Free to download the demo version, which has 3 cars and can race online, etc.

My feeling is that we will be able to conduct all sorts of online races, leagues and even driver training using this software, so it could be a valuable addition to the community.

can we race with the cars you get when you pay for it? the single seater is ace or do we have to use the demo cars only?

i ll depends on the server i think. If the server is setup to allow all cars, then we can use the 1 seater and the demo users can use the RWD turbo thing if they have enough points for it

Official paint jobs will be available soon - anyone know if these can be set to show up to other competitors in online sessions?

The current server is running the demo only, just so it is available to all, but we hope to run two servers one of which will be the full version. In order to make it fair to the creator of the game, I think the full version server should be the one that has all of the leagues, etc on it.

Looking forward to getting stuck into this.

PS. Due to the server being so fast, it was absolutely rammed out last night, so if you are struggling to get on, let us know in here and we'll password it again. If it asks for a password, it will simply be "scooby".

Daft question - when you can drive and have a great laugh in real life with a scoob - why bother faking it in a game .. fair enough I play a lot of games but they tend to be stuff I can't do in real life such as sniping on RTCW etc etc unreal 2004 vaping people with rocket launchers etc

It is more fun with the added cars and tracks. Its a bargain at £12 as well

With SDB sliding around 90% of the corners, and Flat4 spinning out once or twice

try the other car. it's much easier to drive for the novice (like me!!)
