Talking My new Scooby collected today :-)

Yep, I got my new car today! A MY03 STi PPP in black, 18" OZ rims in Platinum, full Prodrive de-cat and Prodrive lowered spring set.

I must admit, it is a might quick! It seems to goad you into traveling that tad faster than you really should
Compared to my last toy it is lacking above 80-90, but, with 4 seats, a real boot, proper heating and a stereo what would you expect? Before in my Ultima GTR I had 6.7l and about 450bhp in a car wieghing in at 1000kgs. Made for an exciting ride though

One question I do have, will it be OK to use super unleaded? I would normally go for Optimax, but it is not always that easy. I ask because I put Esso SUL in today and the car felt a little more hesitant. Also, the emmission light has come on and stays on! I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what he says.

Cheers

Paul.

Mmm.... 'Full decat...'? Sounds like this is causing probs with the emission (CEL) light.

Thanks for the info, I'll check the details with the original supplying dealer tomorrow. Do you know what options they do?

The PPP removes one cat and gives you a sports cat for the 2nd IIRC

Phil - I spoke to the supplying dealer today. Yep, Prodrive sports cat at the front, remove centre cat and Prodrive rear pipe & box.

As for the warning light ....... " stop & start the car 4 times and it goes out. We'll check the error codes at the next service"

I guess I don't need to panic then!
