Default whos got the highest milage

hi,

im thinking of buying a wrx - either as a second car for work or getting a new 03 from motorpoint.

if i get the wrx as a second car it would be a cheap (sub 5k) import. At this price im looking at around 60 - 70 k, but what can i expect to go up to without major problems??

Cheers

Russ

Lots of people have had no problems with way over the 100k mark. It will always depend on how the car has been looked after etc......

my MY93 WRX import is showing 150000+ on the clock, but a lot of that is kms, but when it's worked out its about 107000 ish miles and still does 135mph (on a privite road of course!)

My MY96 WRX is still going strong at 120,000 miles. I have had it for 6 years and have done 100,000 of those miles. I had to get a new clutch at 90,000 miles. the only other problem apart from the usual pads and one set of front discs was a cracked radiator. It still starts first time every time. It uses no oil between oil changes. I have serviced it regularly according to Subaru's schedule. I have always used top quality fully synthetic oil - changed every 7,500 miles. It gets tracked at Knockhill a couple of times a year.

So if it has a FSH go for it. They are a reliable bit of kit, provided that they are not abused.
