I believe Phil was looking at buying that car Danny but he's after an EU import with full Subaru Warranty. That car is not an EU import, is not registered with IM and only has a Dealer insurance type warranty on it.
I know that car has a few mods but a brand new EU import can be sourced for £16750 making £15000 for a second hand non certified import a tad high IMO.

guys,i have to laugh at you lot and your subaru warranty issues,i see no difference if covered by subaru uk or the supplying dealer warranty,3 years/60,000 miles from both means that if it goes bang it gets fixed either way,as to the price of a new one yes they are 16750 but add the alarm etc which in the case of my car adds up to over £800 and all the extras on it it stands at a good £20k plus,(£1400 wheels/tyres)also salsaking if you going to mod it like you said in a previous thread would'nt you void the warranty anyway?? good luck with your search for a 03 wrx but for want you want to pay you will not get one that looks like mine, and at 15000 its not expensive imo
cheers
jason

Lee
yep 6 speed.. up/down shift on it lol

S.B
pix will come in a day or so.

Zippy
yep.. but it felt like £1000k

Jason
Px on a Full uk car at a dealer is £13500/14000... i've had TWO full UK cars Emailed me while looking for the right one.. all around 10k miles... and offer at £15k... why.. cus all they were offered was no more than the £14k.
Your car is a good buy.. But theres more to it than the warranty side of things when it comes to a NON EU/uk car and as i said to you I know what i want and what i will pay. . if your's hadn't the wheels and Eibachs + Quality Alarm already on it I would not have paid more than £14k.. (which is the right price IMO)... as they were under £17k new.
Yes i would mod it after a while.. but with things taht can be easily removed or swapped if Warranty needed doing ssshhh
You will sell it no problem.. so don't worry

NotoriousREV
The Smarty is only short term. maybe a year or two lol

salsa, you need to check evo magazine, they've had a smart on long term test, and had it chipped, I think David Yu is driving it, and his other car is a 355 ferrari!
He had a suzuki capachino before that, and he reckons the smart is.....well, smarter!
chris,

ps, see you soon at the ball.

I'm looking at it like this as only SHORT term!!!
IF i keep the smart 1 year
I SAVE
just under £4k NOT having any HP to pay!
so that already almost pays for the Smartie
THEN
£20 of UL filled the tank!! i did 48 mile last night.. needles not moved!!!!
Insurance is cheap (group 2)
Tax.. cheap only being 650cc!

it zipps along.. does about 75mph.. but when i think where i drive to and from.. the speeds i do in the smart are no different to the Scoob speeds.. so i still get there ok

See you at the ball.. they'll be an extra car park space avaiable now lol

Jason,

Sorry if you though I was having a go at your car, I wasn't, it's just todays market.

Motorhouse had 10 Dutch EU imports in at £16750 on the road, registered with IM, 3 years IM warranty and Cat 1 alarm fitted. When cars are available so cheap it has a knock on effect for the used market. Dealer warranty's are known for being suspect and the trade will price a car down if it doesn't have manufacturers warranty.

If you get someone who wants the mods then you should get your price, if you have taken it to a dealer you will know it's actual trade value which I would imagine to be between £12k and £13k. EU cars are priced lower than UK cars and non EU cars are priced lower than EU cars.

I just sold an Alfa 156 selespeed Veloce, £21k list and had factory spoiler kit and factory fitted Eibach/Bilstien sports suspension, it was less than two years old with 17k miles for £7500. Have just bought a Rover 75 V6 £24k list, 03 car, 10 months old, 7k miles for £11k. The market is tough at the moment.

Lee

Phil, get the digitec remap done. Mate had it done on his and improved it no end. Excellent fun cars, handle like they are on rails until you really fling em round corners and can get some hilarious back end fun

Good underrated little cars

Just seen you've already had it remapped

You going for any advertising custom panel jobs?

Hey Phil

Nice little run around and well trendy.

Are you getting the Front mount intercooler, Induction kit, TD06Turbo and Anti Lag. How about a Veilside Bodykit, Ap 6pot brakes, 19 inch chrome wheels, Under car Neons, 3" straight through exhaust with twin 5" tail pipes, How about scissor doors tinted windows and fast and furious graphix.

OOO and also not forgetting the massive big Evo6 rear spoiler on the roof and subaru bonnet scoop.

Just a thought about the Suzuki Cappucinos if they did a owners meet would it be called a coffee morning.

Take it easy hope we can sort the LEDS out for mine mate. Anybody interested in some Blue Undercar neons then

My mate upgraded to the new roadster from the standard smart. The missus was sure he had a mouse trapped in his engine when it was chattering away

Good cheap motoring fun You taking it round the track with the scoobs then?

Phil, just remember that the headlights will go dim when you switch on your under-car neons, unless you upgrade your alternator too.
