RAC Trackster - Sti type uk - subscription
Had a my03 for a year on the first of march, and remember at the time that the subscription for the tracker only lasts a year. Should i have received a renewal from the rac about this? Thanks.

Yes you should receive a letter in the post asking for renewal. If you haven't got it then it is worth chasing them up.
I've heard stories that if your subscription runs out they will not trace your car even if the tracker is still working.

You should call them up to renew- sounds like you have slipped through the net. You can pay quarterly or yearly. You should get a discount off your insurance if it's active- or worse, you may find that it invalidates your insurance if you let the subs lapse.

I think it's a new car thing.
When you guys picked up your cars from the dealer, he should have got you to fill in a form for trackstar so that they can contact you when the subs come up for renewal. It's quite a long form so you should remember filling it in.
No form, no renewal.

I paid for the lifetime subscription - as long as I keep the car 3 years it will pay for itself, and everything after that is a bonus! I certainly want to keep it for a few years.

same here guys,no renewal notice whats so ever.
rung them about 2 weeks before expiry was up as it was running out on the 3rd of March,and at this time of writing still no letter or notice.Still WAITING!!!!!

I agree with the cr*p service.
I have just bought a MY03 UK Sti8 which came with RAC Trackstar. Rung them to register 10 days ago, haven't received anything in the post yet

That's so weird. I have had good service from them and this is not the first trakker I have owned. I got my proof of installation certificate a matter of days after sending off the intial joining form.
