Default I could drink more than my tank holds!

Am i the only one on this forum that gets 170 miles on a tank of fuel?

But take into consideration that the tank from empty to full will only take about 35 litres!!!

Isn't this a little strange?

I have a 95 Impreza STi Jap import.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps you have a faulty fuel gauge. Try running it to the middle line of the E, and fill it up until petrol runs down the side of your car. Ive squeezed 58.3 litres in to my scoob.
35 litres is just over 1/2 tank

My missus has a 1.1 Pug 106 and that can hold 40 litres.

You can buy yourself a fuel can for a couple of quid, fill it up with a fivers worth of fuel and run your fuel down. Should just be below the middle E at the bottom of the scale.
Now before the engine dies on you, you'll feel a series of judders when trying to accelerate, this is when you really know youve run out of fuel.
This is not reccomended however as your not supposed to run the crap at the bottom of the tank. Ive done it half a dozen times and never had anything fail on me so try it if you dare.

I also have similar poor tank range, I get more fuel in my mower lol! , I can get about £35 tops of optimax dunno how many ltr's though, tank range 120-150miles with a heavy foot..

Bit £xpensive, worth every penny though
