Default Ending a lease?

Hi,

I have 2 years left on a 3 year Lex FreeChoice lease, and am wondering if anyone has any experience of ending the lease.

I bought a MY03 (03 plate) WRX and soon after my job meant mostly working from home. So, I have done a total of 3,400 miles in 12 months. Yes, that is 3,400. Because of the low miles I am doing, it works out to be a very expensive car unfortuantely, and would ideally like to exit the lease and get rid of the car I am sad to say.

Any ideas?

I got rid of my clio 172 after 2 yrs instead of keeping it for the 3 because I was bored with it and wanted a MY03 STI, it cost 40% of what was left to pay.

Did you then have to sell the car privately, or just pay the 40% of what was left and walk away with nothing?

Pay the 40% and walk away with nothing.

Read your contract it should be in there, in the termination section, in mega small print!!!!

salsa-king was after a vehicle matching said description, maybe worth contacting him - not sure if he still after one!

Superdon,

Please can you email me a price on how much you would want for your car - got to be a cheaper option buying it from the lease company and selling it rather than paying termination fees and handing it back.

Cheers,

Ian.

Superdon,

Just checked but no private messages. At work and can't check my Hotmail until I get home.

Cheers,

Ian.
