Angry Which Bedfordshire Scooby muppet was this??????

Driving today at lunchtime down the A507 towards the A1. Came near to the roundabout at Stotfold and a WRX (Bugeye) came right up behind be. So I though why not and floored my Coop (20V Turbo). He tried to keep up but I was slowly pulling away - he can dispute this if he wants . We both came to the A1 roundabout and we are sort of side by side with him being just slightly behind me. We both pull away at the sametime and being the dick he was decided to not only cut me up but another car he was behind just to get ahead . If I was serious and floored my car at the same time he would have collided with my front end

I'm not saying that all Scooby drivers are like this - not at all but this fella pissed me right off and not because he "jumped" ahead either, it's because of his trying to prove a point attitude by nearly crashing both our cars.

I await his response

You must be the envy of all farmers with your 20v turbocharged coop. I wondered what all those EU agricultural subsidies went on.

Racing on the public roads ? Well, IMHO you are both dicks. Get over it.

Don't race people on the road under any circumstances- you might get caught and lose your licence. Sounds like you both drove like dicks but the Impreza driver wanted to 'win' more than you did.

Fiat Coop 20v Turbo - you know the car that surprises a lot of Scooby owners

I just know this is going to get nasty - my car is better than your car blah, blah, blah

And I know about "don't race on the road" even an A road - I'm just as bad; but trying to kill him - there's a line I don't cross

'In the sticks' as I guess from your username that you're from 'the sticks', I'd have thought you'd know what a coop is - a house for chickens or hens. However thanks to generous EU payments this particular example is equipped with a turbo and 20 valves, and possibly an en-suite bathroom for chicken usage.

I believe a picture of the above is on here:

you get this with drivers of 2.5 this or turbo that. going to far trying to "win". seen a guy in a rover 620 turbo overtaking 3 cars around a blind bend in broad daylight just so he could overtake me. these people need shooting.

This is a car I used to know well and is built from matchsticks and recycled tin cans (probably from the Co-Op) - usually serviced by appalling dealer sunder the banner of Fiat/Alfa Romeo. Group 20 insurance too.

Good performing car etc, nice if slightly dated styling but like a ticking timebomb - a Fiat mechanic told me it was the strongest engine Fiat had ever built but, obviously, by putting a turbo on it it was like attaching a grenade to it without a pin.

Fiats rattle like buggery and need careful electrical ownership!

Boss Hogg - Stop chasin' Daisy Duke ........ You know as well as the rest of us that he means a Fiat Coupe Turbo - save this for Muppets (where I don't think I've seen you) as this would be very funny in there .......

Am I missing somethin? A muppet in a fiat does something stupid, then get upset because somebody in a Scoob does something even more stupid, then signs up to a predominantly Subaru bbs to whine about it? What kind of response do you think you are going to get? At best what you are getting, that you were both daft. And what if the other person was on here? I doubt they would admit it, but it seems you have just come here spoiling for a fight

That's right I just came on here trying to start a fight The reason was to find out who he was so I could meet him because I live in the area it happened and wanted to know what he was thinking. I know I was in the wrong for putting my foot down even though the road was an A road and was less than 1/2 a mile long until we got to the roundabout. Still no excuse and I accept that. Before anyone else wants to say it - I WAS AN **** -

Now tell me you have never put your foot down when you have had the chance on an A road or motorway , not a B or C road let me guess you haven't

When appropriate to do so, i.e. there are not other vehicles around and I know that I can stop safetly within the distance I can see to be clear, then yes I have been known to put my foot down.

The reason was to find out who he was so I could meet him because I live in the area it happened and wanted to know what he was thinking
It seems to me that neither of you were "thinking" very much at all. The red mist came down and both of you felt you had something to prove. Fortunately you didn't take out an innocent out in the process.

Assuming you were able to find this person I think it unlikely they would be interested in "discussing" anyway, and the fact that you have a bee in your bonnet about it suggests that you wouldn't be doing much discussing either. Chalk it up to experience, if you see him again give him a wide birth.
