Default P1 Advise please?

Have just decided my next car will be a P1! Mine is sold so am now on the look out for a good one!

Any advise anyone has on potential problems I should look out for would be much appreciated!?

Looking for as later model as possible and would prefer 'as low mileage as possible' also 18" wheel upgrade and brake upgrade if possible!

What would the brake and wheel upgrade cost me if I buy a standard P1?

Also can someone give me an idea of service costs?

Hi Micky,

I sold my P1 on saturday to a dealer, was an earlier one 2000 W with 48k on the clock although it had brake upgrade and discs and pads replaced just 500 miles ago. (900 quid for discs and pads at the front)

I didn't think servicing was too bad ranging from 120 upto 420 for the major service.

I had one problem with mine which was a knackered con rod, all covered under warranty though.

Asides from that I never had any problems, apart from tyre wear and aching cheeks from smilling all the time...

Hope you find a good one...

Mickey, i was just at my local dealers (30mins ago) booking my Scooby in for a service and the chap on the service desk mentioned the showroom had a P1 arrive last week in part exchange. I don't know what it looks like (showroom is in a different building) or how much they're asking but apparently it's only done 2000 warranted miles!!!

Must have been a second car i guess. Anyway, it's at Simpsons of Swindon (which is actually actually in Highworth). You'd need to speak to Rob Simpson on 01793 767902 for more details.

I have no connection with the garage other than it's where mine came from and gets work done!

HTH

Iwan
