Come on guys,
There are many different types of people in this world and all have different tastes. Why do you lot feel the need to attack others for exercising their right to choose? If we were all the same as you every driveway in your street and every other car on the road would be a Scooby, where would be the fun in that. And where is the fun in casting your derision upon decent people who have worked hard for their money and spent it on the car they prefer?
Now I grant you that in all walks of life there are certain juvenile types will derive a certain shallow pleasure in posting abusive and insulting messages onto other peoples forums in cowardly attacks from behind the protective anonymity of the internet but the quantity of Scooby drivers who demean themselves into doing this is disproportionate and only serves to blacken the opinion others have of all the rest of your peers, most of whom I am sure are decent people.
It would be very easy for other forums to register on Scooby net and retaliate by posting insulting, malicious messages but they don’t and I am sure you don’t want to start a war of words between forums that will inevitably lead to the ruin of both. So come on guys ‘Live and let live’, you enjoy your cars and your forum but allow others to enjoy theirs. The sort of childish behaviour by the unfortunate few of you on this forum is in danger of spoiling things for everyone.

Of course, all your slagging off of the TT comes from experience and the fact that you have at least driven one to be able to draw comparisons?

FFS the two cars are completely different. Yes they might both be 4WD/AWD and have around the same power and torque (comparing UK standard with 225 TT), but that does not mean squat.

The TT is a design icon, the Impreza is a fast jap saloon (with a rally counterpart that you all think you drive ).

Who cares which is better/faster/quicker/fatter/wallowier/etc.

Which is exactly why comparisons are drawn and why *some* owners of both type of car feel they have something to prove when they meet on the road.

Its like football supporters suppporting 2 different teams. You will always taunt your opposition, defend your side and often that means retaliation (to some people - not something I personally advocate).

I couldn't care less personally I used to take most pleasure in sticking to 30 limits in the Scoob causing huge tail backs because people can't stick to the limit. Then open it up when you go into a 60 and leave them all behind

I buy whatever cars I do because I like them, not because of what other people think. I just smile and let them glide on by. Would sooner have them in front of me rather than an inch off my bumper.

It is such a shame that some of you feel that way. In general the answers to my 'live and let live' post is indicative of how much you hold everyone apart from Scooby drivers in such low esteem.

I genuinely feel pity for those blinkered scoobynet members that behave in such a contemptible manner and my sympathies go out to those of you who are reasonable grown-up, responsible people and are unfortunately being associated with such types. I am sure that like us the majority of you are really nice guys who are genuinely passionate about your cars (whatever they are) and that the rest of you will probably also be nice guys in a few years or so.

I am going to leave now (this is all been a rather distasteful experience) before you all start being abusive again. Best of luck to you all but please do leave the rest of us alone.

Ahh 'The Voice' seems to have laryngitis.

Anyway, I'm not really bothered about TTs. They're not that fast, I not like the female looks and they always seem to come in silver, there seems to be millions around, makes the Impreza look rare, and the P1 extremely rare

To be honest I coundn't drag myself into owning a car with such low power as standard. Also, I bet 'The Salon' car park has more TTs in it than you could shake a hairdrier at.

Ive had two TTs (and they are great cars, well built but a bit boring) I know have an STI9 after doing the german Look how well im doing thing. I love driving and quick cars but I have not driven the V6 TT (Test drive on Wednesday is Booked though when I take my mums A4 cab in for warranty work)only the 225 but the subaru is quicker by a massive amount in any Real driving situation and anyone who says otherwise has obviously not driven both cars.
Both cars have there merits but please they are both in different classes. Each to there own I say but I know what im happier driving and its not made in germany
