bent fins on TMI

This may be a dumb question, but what can you do if the "fins" eg all the metal ridges on the top of your intercooler are bent down nearly flat?
Was reading the other thread on cleaning with Halfords CD2 which I have done (ommitting the intercooler as recommended)the results are 1st rate but how do you clean/tidy up an intercooler in this state?

Yes it does, have an engineer type friend that designs such things and he reckoned that the few bent 'fins' on mine, and there really wasn't that many would have a significant effect on efficiency.
