Hello,

Also i have had it about a week and a bit, im gonna service it asap, but what else do you recomend to do?
Sorry for all the questions, but i really dont wanna blow it up, not just yet anyway!!!
Cheers!

Scoobs shouldn't blow up unless they knock....
So, make sure you use Optimax (plus octane booster if it's an import) and get a knocklink so you'll know if it's knocking.
By the way, don't service it yourself unless you know what you are doing, for instance you can knacker the engine if you don't fill the oil filter correctly.....
Enjoy!

You can get a knocklink and sensor from jap innovations (i think its www.jap-innovations.co.uk).
The WRX is designed and mapped to run japanese fuel (which is 100-102 ron) our fuel is 95-98 ron, if you want to keep your engine safe then running optimax with octane booster is the best way

Quite a few places do octane booster, here are a few that should have some
www.scoobymania.co.uk
www.jap-innovations.co.uk
www.scoobyscene.co.uk
www.scoobysport.co.uk
www.tsl.co.uk
www.scoobyworld.co.uk
If you check these out, atleast half of them do some form of octane booster

Do a search on ScoobyECU.
The ScoobyECU is an add on for you original ECU that will remap the car to run on Optimax, plus it will increase performance too
Is only about £100, best money you will ever spend!

Well if there is the option of the scoobyecu then id also consider picking up an MY95/96 ecu from another WRX (grade a subaru, you may have to do a search as i dont know their site address ) but it cures the bugs that were in the 92/93/94 ecu's and gives you 20ps more to boot
