Just seen a picture on the Dutch site of a Turbo with WRC style bonnet vents. Anyone any idea where they come from and how much they are?

Blimey Stuart - that's a beast. Looks good.

Are there practical reasons for the scoops or are they for show??

Chris,

I designed them to supply cold air to my induction kit (well the offside one does). Combined with moving the number plate up and forward hopefully it will be getting better cooling. I am currently in the process of getting some made for the later shape bonnet, if any one is interested. I can get ones made for the early bonnet already

Stuart K.

OK I'm sold how do I order a pair of the Bonnet/Vent Scoops ???

I remember a mail from you a while back, but I was in several minds, sell the car, cut the front off and put later spec front on or get your scoops, Scoops have won, What induction kit are you using on your beast ??

Cheers

Having trouble navigating the site - my Dutch sucks.
Can you post a link? Or are they the same as the 22B ones - you can get those at a few places - I'll look if they are the same.

Barge,
I am using the blitz induction kit, it looks and sounds cool, and as my car is MY94 I don't appear to have the MAF sensor problems!

Question

Stuart,
Looked at the pics of your car above, and noticed the front lip on your front spoiler, That actually part of the spolier or did you get it seperate and if so where did you get it from? Thanks in advance, Ian

The lip spoiler is seperate, I'm not sure where it came from originally. A mate of mine has a garage and it turned up there. It was originally pale yellow so may have been of an STi III?

Thanks anyway, I have been looking at adding a front lip spoiler for around 8 months now, and just cannot decide. I think it would look too Max'd up with it - although there is a lovely Greddy one available from speedlab in Japan. Guess i'll just leave the original spoiler as it is...

Stuart, nice scoops. I too had a scoop fitted over the off-side vent (a MRT Australia product, I think) and a K&N induction kit underneath. I have my doubts whether rain water may be a problem, but so far have not experienced any major one yet even after driving through some heavy downpours. What is your experience?

I originally envisaged putting the scoops on only for track days, but since I put them on haven't taken them off. I have had no problems (touch wood) with water, and that includes the fact that I have a scoop over the battery side!
