Due to get a 10k service for my WRX at start of Feb. Phoned several dealers near SW London and the price varies significantly.

- B&C West Horsely = £230-£250 (come on guys it's not a Rolls Royce),
- Malrborough Isleworth = £220
- Cheam motors = £161

Anyone recently beat £161? Was the garage open on Saturdays, how did you find the service? I will drive up to 1 hour from Kingston. Anyone used Cheam motors - what did you think of them?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

I've used Cheam several times in the past. In fact I bought my car from Bell & Colvill but their servicing was so expensive that I rang around and found that not only were Cheam cheaper, they also offered 10% disco for SIDC members! In the beginning (this isn't gonna be a long story, promise!) they were brill - excellent customer service and did everything they said they would. However in the last year/18months it's become (a) difficult to get an appointment unless you book a month in advance (probably because everyone has heard how good they are) and (b) the customer service isn't as brilliant (knock-on effect of being so busy no doubt - see a!)
Last time I had mine serviced (MY00) I took it to Wilsons in Romford. A bit of a trek but I've got friends over there so it meant a day off work for a round of golf! They were about £50 cheaper than what Cheam or anywhere else locally quoted.

Wouldn't write off Cheam though as I haven't been back for a while.
Hope this helps

Clintyboy

I think I paid £140 for mine at Stan Palmer (Carlisle) in August.

Thanks for your input. I'll try Cheam unless anyone else has any opinions.

£135 in Donalds Peterborough. Must be all that expensive Southern labour to give you those prices...
