May be interested in an 03 WRX PPP downpipe. Are you thinking of a deal including fitting; eg several of us buy and get them fitted by the same dealer one Sat am?

May be interested in one for a classic WRX if the price is right.

Fitting is not a problem as I will do it myself.

Cheers

fantastic!
thanks for the info rally .
ive just gone through the post .
so you guys went for the h&s ive heard good things about them.
jmk m8 when u say ppp downpipe thats a subaru dealer job isnt it?
I dont really mind about fitting ,it seems on the last thread the guys were quoted 70 quid plus vat which im prepared to pay ,to save agro.
i wont contact any dealers until we get a few more bodies .
but...im more than keen to go for the h & s .

I may be interested in the H&S downpipe, I've just fitted a H&S mid-section and back-box and am happy with the quality/sound.

Sorry, I was writing bollox in my earlier post. Meant to write that I'd be interested in a downpipe if it'll fit an 03 WRX with PPP. Also, I'll need to check and see if there's any adverse implications as the PPP ecu is programmed for the car having a cat in the d pipe and I don;t want a 'lumpy' idle of flatspot in the torque / power curves. Any idea / coments?

JMK - Removing the cat in the downpipe would be a warrenty issue. You will also get the engine light come on and get a P0420 ECU fault code (emissions).

You car would need to be remapped as well.

If you had thought of throwing away the warrenty like this you should have considered the TSL solution witha custome remap, exhaust system and sport cat they got 335bhp and 333ft/lb of torque from an STi8. It would have cost you the same as the PPP.

To get a decent free flow cat(100 cell ) there unfortunatly isnt enough room in the centre for one so we put it in the down pipe .

How much is a downpipe with sports cat then (and a straight through centre)? I know power engineering sell a centre section with high flow cat, is this liekey not to flow as well as a larger downpipe cat then?

The down pipe with a 100 cell cat in is £495 plus the usual, to put it in the centre pipe it would reduce the ground clearance quite considerably.I can,t comment on power engineering cat as i haven't seen one.

JMK, Just a thought before you jump in to a remap , or anyone else still in warranty.
I.M (Subaru UK are now starting to ask for ECU's to be returned for engine or other major item failures, and checking the mapping on them, even though you might decide to swop back non standard parts ie exhaust induction kit etc to get your self back under thier cover...... just a thought....

I need to keep a cat really and the downpipe with sports cat is a bit more than i'm looking to spend at the moment...especially when + centre section as well.
