Cool

who wants an ice-blue car? not me! i've seen it in the 'main' solberg special edition post and that colour is a BIG NO NO...

but the rest of the spec looks acceptable

i'll take a look on Thursday before making a judgment on spec, colour. It looks pretty weak as a colour on the pictures i have seen. Hope it's got DCCD-A! So it's a 2.0 PPP then as expected?

Driver controlled centre diferential with Automatic mode. It's what is fitted to all the top spec STi's such as the JDM, Spec C, GL, USDM STi models. It improves the handling masively, gives you a more RWD biased torque split and much higher traction levels.

I have the fax too, and it does not say anything about DCCD-A. I wonder which alloy wheels it will have. What i find strange is that it says that it comes with STI branded exhaust tip and then says that it has PPP, which as we all know gets rid of the exhaust. Does the current STI have VVT, becasue the WR1 does. I like the name.

I think it is worth paying the extra £5k just for the tax disc holder.

AFAIK all STi8's have VVT.

PS. also heard the internals on the WR1 are no different to the 2003 STi8, but DCCD-A is fitted.

It is not 320bhp, it is 320 PS which means the car will only be about 310 bhp. This car does not sound like a jap one to me. It also sound like they will all come pre registered as they are doing extensive work on the car at IM post registration.

hopefully on thursday i get to have a look under the bonnet to work out what spec the engine is, turbo used etc. The car isnt a Japanese spec, as it's already stated it has PPP fitted, this may well be 320BHP, it depends what Prodrive/IM decided to do as 320BHP is easily atained on the STi8 engine with a remap, uprated fuel pump and high flow exhaust.

Whether Prodrive or IM have to do work post import depends on Homologation rules, they may be able to fit everything in Japan. Either way i doubt that makes a diference as it's probably going to sell out quickly if it is £29,995.

There are no pics of the Solberg, but there are pics of the Ice Blue coloured STi on sale in Europe at the moment.

I am not so sure the colour will look poo when you contrast it to the wheel colour. It's certainly not what we are used too, but neither was the RB5 at the time and they dont come accross as particluarly nice in pictures IMHO but look the part in the flesh colour wise.

Looking forward to thursday and seeing it in the flesh.

I think the Ice Blue is a nice colour, along the same change in colour scheme as the RB5 was

OK I will reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh... If it was the same colour as the RB5 then i would of had it no question...

Stuck in germany so can't get to the show either..!!!
