optimax (run out)

From: 2005 sso, 1/4 finals,3rd in 60ft; 2004 sso,semi finals,2nd in 60ft time; 2003 standard car 2nd 60ft
just been to fill up the car and all 3 garages have no optimax
they told me its shell that have run out
so if u need to fill up get it done asap
they told me they should start getting it again in about 3 days

Optimax is cheaper for me without having to spend money on 'extras'!
I'm sure it does work, but why should we bother adding booster when we can have optimax? I'll save that option for when I just can't get the real stuff.

I went to Shell HYTHE (Southampton) this morning and they had run out too.
No local Esso stations so I had to put a fiver's worth of crappy Unleaded in...

Filled up again tonight, only 2 out of 12 Optimax pumps working.
I enquired as to the problem and was told that the a new distribution contractor had recently been appointed and was yet to get on top of things (under-estimated quantities required). They had quite a lot left in the tanks but would be getting another delivery tomorrow. Perhaps its the same accross the country.

Didn't notice any problem at Pease Pottage Services on the M23 a couple of hours ago.
A tankful normally lasts me a week but I'll bear this in mind in case I need to get the Mini back on the road
