Sti8 for me, what for the wife??
Time has come to replace our 18 month old alfa 156 selespeed sportwagen. I still have my sti8, but my wife can only drive auto/ semi-auto. Budget circa 18k. Need an estate/ hatch to transport the dog as well. No.1 choice would be CTR, if they did semi auto, but my local dealer says no chance, so....any one got any ideas?? I'm sure I read article recently about mitsubishi 4x4 with de-tuned evo engine and semi auto box, sounds too good to be true?
Depends what you want......good load lugger with a bit of oompf for 18K:
- Audi S6 Estate 2.7 ltr Twin Turbo - MY99 for about 19K so pushing the limit - great build quality, stealth power and with an AmD remap they are comfortably pushing 360bhp
- Mitsubishi Glant V4 - Rare shape, highly specced, massive power and loads of options for upgrades.

I may be wrong, but I thought some JDM Scoobs were auto? Think I've only seen Classics and even then doubt many are imported to the UK.
Just a thought.......two Scoobs on the drive.

Great answers there chaps, nice to assume that the reason for requiring an auto is because the driver is female, not for any other reason such as disability etc.
My thoughts on this - I'd get a second hand a4 estate, as mentioned above, probably the best stealth wagon on the market at the moment.

Buy any manual car, have an electric clutch fitted at under £1000, remove the clutch pedal in a way it can be fitted back in seconds and you have a legally recognised semi-automatic.
Your choices are now endless.
