I'm fed up of leaving my car for only a few days only to find the battery is dead !
I'm thinking of curing this problem with one of the ways listed.
1. Move the battery to the boot, enabling me to fit a larger battery.
2. Connect up one of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2448324253&category=99 03&sspagename=rvi:1:2

Are there any benefits/drawbacks from each point/has anyone either done number 1 or fitted number 2 ?
What is required to move battery ?
Anyone have a battery box for sale or know where to get one from ?
Any comments welcome please!
Thanks
Chris

It may not be the battery, are you running the vehicle enough to fully charge the battery, I'm looking into a higher capacity alternator at present.

Question

And how old is your battery? Over 3 years and you need to look at replacing it, especially if all you do is short runs.

buy yourself an 'Optimate' charger. I have one that I use on my motorbikes but can be used on other 12v batteries. It trickle charges your battery and conditions. Cost about £40.

yes, it does. I've seen solar charges on QVC but I don't know if they're up to much
