Hi all

I really would appreciate it if you guys could let me know what to look for on a Subaru Impreza.

Is actually for My Bro and he's going to look at it tomorrow.

Being a Corrado owner for 2 years now, i know cars like these have there fair sahre of faults and id like him to know whats hes looking at.

eg, what is he to watch out for on the engine chassis etc.

Its a 1.8 GL. i know aint no WRX or anything, but id really appreciate the help.

Thanks for any help i receive, and thanks for looking.

Brian

Thumbs up

1.8GL .... that'll be the WRX FarmYard model then - look for straw bales in the back and signs of sheep hooves on the upholtsery.

If the hoof marks are on the roof lining its a Welsh model

The tyres will be as bald as a coot and the engine only needs servicing every 100,000 miles

HAHA yeah.

I know i know

Its to get him from his RAF base in lossiemouth, to glasgow, EVERY weekend in right through the winter.

These are reliable cars arent they?

And good at what they do.

The car sounds a good one (i picked out the add... but cant remember any details about it...)

I dont want him to go and buy a crap one. insurance want to kill im on a Turbo and hes a Biker with a VFR400 onto a CBR600 Rossi edt. he doesnt exactly need the speed haha.

Seriously tho, what is he looking for.

i registered to SIDC but still waiting for a damn password.... :C

The one I'm thinking of is an N reg light / sky blue, and have only seen it on the road but it looks tidy enough, couple of crackin roads between here and the A9 for goin back and fore, Dava Moor to Carrbridge, classic! especially in the snow

No way thought me lol

A 3 series beemer, sooo comfy but RWD!!!

no danger,

decided on impreza. got to love the falt four burble

im sure hes done the roads at some point on his bikes. i've never been that far north for a blast, bit very familiar with the roads round down here. surprisingly good ones

Hi, i am said brother of dubster...

thanx for your help much appreciated, not actually going till wednesday afternoon now, but jaf01uk: this one is 96' 1.8gl dark green, 5 door, ***edited to remove location***.... hope that makes some sense to you???? apparently it only gets use on the runs to tescos etc....

If you have some time to spare on wed about 1pm-ish i would always appreciate a second pair of eyes that have a FAR greater chance of knowing what they are looking at than i....

(Its worth a few beers...)

Ta!
