Question

My Sigma Alarm/Immobiliser is getting more and more reluctant to lock/unlock.

My dealer has kindly ordered me a replacement modified version (sheilded aerial or something?) - to be fitted straight after the Xmas Hols.

Anyone had it done and did it FINALLY cure the 'Dodgy Area' syndrome? Does it now work EVERYWHERE?

Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote ?
When the voltages get low this can also cause the problem you describe.

Warranty replacement! No cost to me! Well none barr the £440 extended warranty! However, if just one thing goes bang I will be so pleased I chose well.

I did repace the batteries, twice! It increased the distance at which it would click - but in the NO-GO ares no difference!

Its good to see that it will be sorted out ........... and it doesn't matter that I may be getting a FQ-300 in February 2004 .. the next owner deserves a sorted car ... and whoever buys mine will get a gem!

Wink

I've been around so long on SN that I am an integral part of the server!! When I die SDB has agreed to throw my ashes into one of the drives so that, now and again, a REALLY annoying post pops up and gets everyone in a lather!!

Had mine done, and it does work in that you can now park and use it where you couldn't before, but you have to put the fob right near the bonnet before it works in those areas..
