I shall of course keep a lookout but I can't imagine for one second it would have come into Hull from where you are unless it was going straight onto the ferry
Much more likely to have gone to Leeds / Manchester I reckon.
You say they have the keys - did they enter your home??

wot no tracker onboard?
if so, then unlucky - if not...then you were asking for it.
i only own a ****ty vtr, but i still got a tracker on it...£300 (i got tracker monitor) for the sake of keeping a few grands worth of car (or SEVERAL grands worth in your case) = bargin.

Will also keep my eye out on the South of the Bridge for ya. No point ringing police though, tried to report an astra being driven by kids in Barton last night at 11:30, alarm and indicators still going off on it! 999 phone rang for 2 minutes before I hung up in disgust.
Seems crazy when things like this happen so close to home.
Hope you get it back, or if not you don't get major hassle from the insurance.
Steve
PS, I know I wouldn't appreciate some of the comments and questions above if it were my car in the hands of a thief.

It is always those that have not had the heartache of having their cars stolen that make the smarta**e comments. I have had two cars stolen and neither were recovered.
That is one reason for the setting up of the www.twoc.co.uk database, it may help.

I'm sorry, but nearly every time I look on this forum there is a post about cars being stolen after keys were taken from the house. If I owned a Scooby or EVO the first thing I'd do is find somewhere safe to keep the keys.

If someone is brave enough to enter the house whilst you are asleep then make sure they find your fookin keys before they find YOU!! Its all well and good being the tough guy have a go hero but at the end of the day its a pile of metal....... let it go! I am curious as to wether the guy had a tracker fitted though.... an evo 6 go tstolen nr me recently and he had a tracker - the car was never seen again!!!

yeh id like to see some tosser re-arrange my face after breakin into my house,if they did manage to get past the english bull terrior sleeping downstairs,im sure it wouldnt be very quiet, therefore waking me and giving me enough time to find me baseball bat next to the bed....i'd be dumping them out in the street where the old bill could pick them up.....
sorry to here about your motor geoff, hope you get it back m8,doubt i'll see it all the way down here, but eyes peeled anyway.

The problem with some trackers is that they need activating before the police will be able to pick up a signal from the car. Granted major ports and most police traffic cars and copters have the detectors for them, but the car has to be reported stolen to tracker so that they can activate the device.
Somewhere like Liverpool, Hull, Southhampton, Newcastle and the likes, the thieves can arrange themselves to steal a car to order, and have it on a boat before the device is activated, or worse still they can find the device and either disable it or remove it.
The only way to make sure is keep an eye on your mirrors when going home, and vary your route if necessary to prevent people following you.
